andabataToday on the bench, a Panasonic rs-260usd. Not working, and I don't have a clue. What possible could go wrong.
penguin42@penguin42 1 of the vu meter lights isn't working, the other Vu meter is vibrating like it has a seizure, belt is worn out, it's a bit rusty inside. Grease is all gummed up. Haven't dared to put a tape in yet
@andabata ok, could be anything at that point I guess; but switches and pots are probably good to give a clean squirt to. Especially a lot of cassette machines have a long many-way slide switch on the PCB, they're always dirty.
@penguin42 Yeah, they all look crusty. They all need some love. It's been in storage in a shed for a long time.
