The 👋 is a nice little touch, I like it!
But to a larger point, for people who got upset about the changes, I think this reaffirms that in the fediverse, people working on and managing the platforms and servers and apps are only accountable to their communities. Not companies funding them. And they are willing to listen to feedback and constructive criticism.
Let's remember this next time things change in ways we don't like.
Scott Jenson@stefan As @imanijoy has publicly stated, this approach is 'working as intended' in that we are going to roll out changes, intentionally slowly and make revisions with the input of the community.
You certainly didn't imply this, but 'shipping a perfect release' is impossible. We're hoping that this "move slow and update quickly" continues to work well, and more importantly, builds trust that we are in fact, accountable to the community.
