I never thought this day would come. Hydro Quebec is providing incentives for Solar panels.

"Hydro-Québec offers financial assistance in the amount of $1,000 per installed kilowatt, up to 40% of the purchase and
installation costs of solar panels when all Program requirements are met."

Yeah, definitely.

Hydro Quebec actively discouraged residential solar.

There is a lot going on in the background that is driving this , like the need to free up domestic electricity demand for the export obligations to New England and New York that they have entered into.

@AndrewHenry @avirr Exactly! One benefit of doing it sooo late is that solar is sooo cheap now, that the program will achieve way more than had it been done earlier 👍🏼

Indeed, that said we stand on the shoulders of all those who installed solar because it was the right and necessary thing to do.
