But along comes some authoritarian shaming me that my loyalty to shoes that don't fuck up my feet, that I can afford, and that are well-made is "parsocial."

@Bartok Clark's doesn't know you exist, also they've moved all their production factories to countries that have cheaper labor and fewer human rights protections.
They do have a milquetoast antislavery policy though that says they'll consider ceasing business dealings with suppliers using slave labor...as a last resort.
Better than many, but still ACAB.
