@KarlHeinzHasliP Thank you. I always thought bunny was just a synonym for rabbit (Hase). Now I learned that in English apparently rabbit and bunny are both used for Kaninchen too.
(I mean, most people don't distinguish them in German either, but in theory there is a difference.)

@PaulaToThePeople The Swiss Häsli can be either a Küngeli (Kanninchen) or a small Hase, but this one does not insist on highly differentiated descriptors.
