The only way we can scale is through European solidarity and demand, says co-founder of Mistral AI Arthur Mensch in this interview.

Unfortunately, most European citizens, public institutions, and companies are repeating the mistakes we made with getting dependent og US cloud services, now by mainly buying and using US AI services.

With 800+ staff, Mistral is growing. But we need to buy local and start buying European, so we can build our own tech industry.

The Lisa Burke Show: Europe’s AI superstar slams 'catastrophic' hiring rules in Europe

Mistral AI’s CEO Arthur Mensch calls time on three month notice periods and points to the lack of CMOs in Europe, not talented engineering.

@pernillet I can't disagree more with Mistrals first point about labor movement viscosity.
The system we have today does not prevent an employee from going from one job to another within a week, unless the employer demands the employee works out his resignation period (which I can fully understand most do, who wants to pay salary to someone who does no work?).
Also the system we have today provides security for both parties involved, employee is guaranteed income for the next coming months and employer is guaranteed workforce for the coming months if they choose so.
I for one do not want to see the U.S.A. system here in Europe.
Perhaps that's just my age telling, perhaps younger generations want the mobility of it, that's fine.
Perhaps every employee should be allowed to choose which system they want?
