What are folks' opinions about Startpage?

I just switched to it but don't know much about them. I don't want to support them if they're going to be like Kagi.

(Some of my follows have boosted Kagi propos featuring their logo in rainbow colouring. Friendly reminder that they partner with Brave, led by a notorious homophobe.)

@alderwick Last I heard, it was bought out by an advertising company. Many privacy advocates stopped using it after that. I am not sure what the current status is, however.

@alderwick I've been using DuckDuckGo since the beginning. It's not perfect, but it still rates higher on privacy than most alternatives. The results have also been fine for me and I use the NoAI version.
