thoughtfully cw'ed vent posts are really interesting because they give you the catharsis of complaining to somebody about something, so that the irritating element can thus be ritually cast from your mind, but! the audience is only imaginary (pocket friends are distributed across time, space, and attention availability) and also voluntary (the cw makes it opt-in), so your soul isn't stained by trauma dumping on somebody who really wants to escape the conversation. what a practice!
