EVs (in UK) should be taxed based on weight / energy efficiency. Manufacturers would then have an incentive to develop battery technology. Its ridiculous having a 2ton EV with a battery that needs as much electricity as the household uses in a month ... like fitting an IC car with a 200 litre fuel tank to do 300 miles...

Also Insurance companies will eventually force EVs to have sectional batteries that can be easily swapped. Instead of 1 huge expensive 100kw battery, fit 10 10kw batteries each costing max of £1k...
