The first episode of Ramparts Of Ice was pretty good. Knowing it was by the same mangaka as You And I Are Polar Opposites, I was always going to be down for the show, and although the art style is unmistakably similar, the two shows have. Very different vibes. I'll definitely stick around for more.

@BongoMcnulty Will start it because of You And I Are Polar Opposites. I had no idea was from the same author 👍
@anime it is (and you'll pardon the expression) a polar opposite to the author's other work, but worth checking out nonetheless. I'm interested to see where the series is heading.

@BongoMcnulty 😂

But it's still a rom-com, right? I don't want hardcore drama in my life 💀

@anime it's hard to describe without seeing it first. Certainly not a comedy, but the main character Koyuki is very quick to build "walls of ice" around herself whenever she's in an uncomfortable situation, and her friends are trying to get closer to her (including a couple of potential romantic interests)

@BongoMcnulty Thank you!

I'll give it a try then. Strangely MyAnimeList says "Genres: Comedy, Romance"

Koori no Jouheki

Inept at dealing with people, Koyuki Hikawa maintains a wall between herself and others. She spends her time in high school away from others, all alone. At least until she encounters Minato Amamiya who keeps closing the distance between them for some reason. The aloof Koyuki, the popular Miki, the boundary-less Minato, and the easygoing and kind basketball team member Youta. This is the story of these somewhat complicated four and their tantalizing, bumbling youth. (Source: LINE Digital Frontier, translated)

@anime it's the first episode, so the comedy may start coming through now that the premise is set up :)
