A question for you all - which VIDEO GAME has your favourite in-game interface? That means UI, controls, everything. An interface that not only feels natural and good but immerses you in the game, makes play easy, AND makes you want to keep playing. Can be from any era.

@vampiress two games come to mind

it's been a little while since i played CrossCode, but it had so many little touches that made it a pleasant game to play. There's a chat log that you can open at any time to read back through, even during cutscenes, where pressing start pauses the game instead of immediately skipping it. im sure there were more things but id have to play it again

second is, i guess two games really, Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus for PS1 have a lot of signage in the background, some of it tells you the controls or gives you hints on how to solve a level, and some are silly jokes and ads from the ingame companies, it's great stuff and it's completely unobtrusive bc they're 2D side-scrollers
