Local crime news: A police helicopter is hovering because a DUI suspect fled with sheriff's deputies in pursuit. a

The suspect crashed into a gate down at the river, and ran into the river, which happens to be full of water from the rain two nights ago.

He is apparently in the water, refusing to come out. They have him at gunpoint, but the deputies are refusing to go in the water and get him, so he's not listening to them.

At some point the fire department showed up and put some kind of float in the water. The deputies eventually got him out and arrested him.

@MLE_online

The cops dilly dally while the fire department saves the day, as per usual.

@MLE_online all cops are vampires
@MLE_online Dang! Life in my neck of the woods is positively boring in comparison!
@MLE_online The rain from 2 nights ago? I have it on good authority from Albert Hammond that this is simply impossible.

@MLE_online get out of the water or...or ... or we will shoot you.

ahahahahahha

@MLE_online
Every time I hear of or see a police helicopter, I think of the Red Hot Chili Peppers song of that name. Weird how my brain works.
@MLE_online to be fair, I probably wouldn't want to go into most local waterways after a big rainstorm either.
