Science Fiction vol. 2, no. 2 (October 1940)

I assumed at first the red bird guy was being chased only by humans, but there are other red-bird guys running after him too. Intriguing.

What would you call that thing they're running from? I just went with "structure" but I feel like there's a better word.

@SFFMagazineCovers "Habitrail?"

@drwho @SFFMagazineCovers

Perry Rhodan’s space sphere fuel processing plant?

This one is really weird in so very many ways. Can we talk about the amount of physical effort it would take for the blond woman to hold that pose while being carried at a run?

@AlsoPaisleyCat @SFFMagazineCovers She looks like she's holding tight to every feather that hasn't fallen out yet.

@drwho

lol…

I didn’t even think of pulling the feathers out. What I was thinking about was that she’s got circus performer level abdominals — she looks like she’s doing rope acrobatics.

@drwho And interestingly this is a planet where all the man wear uniforms but this women wears a nighty...
@ralphstark Maybe she's night shift and was getting some rack time until so rudely awakened.
@SFFMagazineCovers I'm just too distracted by the weird posture of the damsel in distress - IF she even is in distress? Maybe that face is just because she's concentrating, practicing some complicated circus act pose? That outstretched leg, the hold on the bird's shoulders - it's just too weird.
@ferngirl @SFFMagazineCovers
Maybe it's because she noticed the artist standing there with his easel, frantically painting, and she wants to look good.
