Big news!
I'm launching a tiny Mac app 🥺🔍🤏

 It's called TinyStart, and it's a lightweight Launcher and Emoji picker for macOS!

Unlike Spotlight, TinyStart is super fast at showing results and launching apps. It never becomes overcrowded with search results you don't need, and it lets you open URLs, perform web searches with custom search engines, and quickly open folders in Finder.

Oh and yes, I think the Emoji picker is pretty good too. It's everything the default macOS Emoji picker isn't: it's fast, it lets you insert Emojis in any text field, it isn't picky about keywords, and it learns your favorite Emojis over time.

@nileane @tinystartapp I haven’t been using the app for too long so I don’t know if this is just how the app behaves on relaunch, but I seem to have lost my “recents” history with the update. Not that there was much there since I just started using the app today

Otherwise it’s been great so far!

@odin @tinystartapp Ohhh, I understand why this happened. This is due to the following bugfix:

"• Fixed: Multiple versions of the same app could not coexist in app indexing”

To fix that bug I had to change the way we index and store IDs for individual items in TinyStart, so the old IDs were dropped. Sorry for that.

But the good news is that this shouldn't happen in future updates now that we're using the new IDs.

@nileane @tinystartapp No worries, glad you figured it out! It wiped like three items total so not a big deal. And yeah, to answer your prior question, it cleared everything and was just showing the text on how to use the app
