@ehmatthes It's hard to say.
I believe much of the capital power in tech is held by individuals with eugenicist/misogynistic views of the world (both historically and currently)--which means that disenfranchised voices have always been pushed out.
Research has existed pre-LLMs about how algorithms are biased in harmful ways (i.e., Weapons of Math Destruction), and that's been over a decade seeing those effects.
@ehmatthes Those things aside, I could see use cases where researcher input and effective guardrails provide us with a way to use the technology to better understand biases within systems, and how to better rectify inherent and institutionalized systems that have historically affected marginalized groups.
Perhaps the trajectory with technology, it would be similar to what we have now, except maybe a little slower, and more conscious of labor rights.
Maybe in that world, employers wouldn't be forcing these tools on their workers....
