@gwynnion Gated Rat can kick space rocks, but that’s a bad take. Starship has been in development for only ten years, and has had four successful “purposefully planned” just-short-of-full-orbit launches to space. And it’s a wholly new design.
SLS has been under development for over 20 years (going back to Constellaeion/Ares program,) and is based on existing systems (Space Shuttle.)
I imagine it will be another 5 years for Starship to carry a person; but it is progressing FAR faster than SLS.
