@weezmgk I was lucky to have the stairwell next to the elevator 3 feet away to duck into. Always have several escape plans during an emergency weather event.

@N4JAW oh hell yes. I'm also WD9GYO and was a tornado spotter in Indpls. Once had an EF4 take off the top story of an apartment bldg while I was in the downstairs bathroom with a mattress over my head. It's no fun, Jim!

@N4JAW folks moved me from NE Ohio to New Palestine in 1978. Huge shock to go from blue collar integrated environs to deeply racist conservative rural Indiana. I knew I was in trouble when I had to decline joining the junior KKK youth group. Got a cross burned in my yard & 'n***** lover' spray painted on my house. Lasted a year there before we had to move to Cumberland so I was close enough to finish high school but be 'safe' from the KKK scum. What an awful part of the world. I escaped the US..
