Trump fired Pam Bondi right as she was about to testify to congress. Don’t fall for the narrative that she got fired because she fell out of favor with Trump.
The Epstein cover up is still ongoing.

@hasani @Johny28 Some seem to think it doesn't. I hope they're right.

@rozeboosje @Johny28 I’m speculating here, but this could be a real possibility now that Trump called her “loyal”
It would be easier to shield Bondi from testifying to congress by “firing” her. A) If she gets a new request to testify, she could refuse and if compelled, she could still defy and Trump would have the DOJ ignore the resulting criminal referral. B) If she did testify, then Trump’s DOJ would certainly prosecute her (probably for some shit she actually did do). So she would be much more inclined to take path A #trump #pambondi #doj #epsteinfiles
@rozeboosje @Johny28 Trump doesn't think that far ahead. The man jumps from the frying pan into the fire (of his own making). He may be able to get republicans enough cover to slow that process down to a crawl.
Not to mention, she is no longer the AG, so who knows what her defense would be: "Executive Privilege"? Which of course would have to be litigated allowing Trump to run out the clock. I almost forgot about Aileen Cannon. She might be able to do him another solid
@hasani @Johny28 Yes but unless Trump manages to completely subvert the US system he will be gone in less than 3 years. And if you THEN follow up with legal action over things like refusing to heed a subpoena there will be SFA he can do about it.
On a tangent, it's almost like he knows he'll be dead and gone and he won't be facing any consequences. And it's not like he cares about anybody else.
