@mcnado in practice, the military is supposed to be apolitical. The politics, until George Bush Sr, of the Defense Secretary were never discussed. Obama's Secretaries of Defense, Robert Gates was a Republican, and nobody really knows what Ash Carter was. Ash Carter was kind of a strange little fellow. And that's typical of the DoD. This new ideological based military runs counter to everything in the UCMJ.

We don’t hear nearly enough about the moral crisis that underlies the other three pots, but it’s the one that ensures the certain death of ALL the frogs. Local TV (Sacramento) showed a segment on the cuts to SNAP that just went into effect, ensuring immediate food insecurity for thousands already in economic distress. We’re all going to pay a high price for this deranged, incompetent, amoral president’s actions.
