The Apollo Guidance Computer created for the Apollo moon missions of the 1960s and 70s was built using custom hardware for the task, and the software running on it was hand-coded in 3 megabytes of Assembly by a small team led by Margaret Hamilton!

And Mrs. Hamilton is still alive today! I wonder what she thinks about the fact that the computer aboard Artemis just had a problem with accidentally running two copies of Microsoft Outlook at the same time?

@catdraoichta propably feeling incredibly insulted at the sheer amounts of #WastefulComputing, wanting to shout at modern programmers like:

"Your Highschool calculators and my stupid phone have more computational power than the entire NASA back inmy days yet opening eMail is too much?
I wish I had the luxury of a Raspberry Pi or just Pi Pico at the time cuz it would've allowed me to automate everything, yet somehow folks need more RAM than we had Tape in Archives just to watch videos! The abundance of computational piwer made developers lazy!"

@catdraoichta Pretty shure she'd even complain at the size of #TinyCore and @OS1337
