Any #bearing experts here? Need to replace bearings of my ceiling fans I leave on 24/7. I got (assuming they're spec'ed correctly):

ABEC11 steel, dual shield, apparently oil lubricated as they spin freely.
ABEC9 zirconium dioxide, non lubricated.

The steel ones are quieter and I could possibly replace the oil with grease, so they would probably be better at least initially. OTOH the ceramic ones require no lubricant so the idea is they wouldn't be affected by dust over time.

It's fairly low speed, no load, but there is dust which I believe is what made the current bearings noisy over time.

Will non-lubricated zirconium dioxide outlast steel bearings in the presence of dust?

And if I go with steel should I try replacing oil with grease?
