Alrighty then...it's been a month with Niagara as my home screen since Nova "died" and I finally feel comfortable enough with uninstalling it.

On one hand it's a bummer to see another great launcher fall apart and change in ways I can't get behind.

On the other hand now I don't have to search through the app update list and cancel the update to the latest build and hope I get it before it starts installing. That got tiring REAL fast.

It was a great (almost) 14 year run 🫠

@thetolsonator What's up with Nova?

@Lewie_Kong more data tracking, intrusive ads without prime, no one original maintaining it, etc

After its latest setbacks, there’s simply no reason to stick with Nova Launcher

Nova Launcher has a new motivated owner, but after the latest version debuted ads and additional trackers, I'm not convinced it's a new dawn.

@thetolsonator urgggghhhhhh. This is why we can't have nice things.

I might just get rid of my pixel and get a dumb phone instead.

@Lewie_Kong Bud, the urge is strong. Only deal breaker is I'm not dual-fisting phones anymore and I've got WAY too much invested in MFA and work stuff 🫠
@thetolsonator Yeah same. Even just personal MFA.
