“I also see that I have two Microsoft Outlooks, and neither one of those are working.”

Honestly. That's like 50% of office workers' experience these days

@tante If the Teams addon is crashing Outlook in space, I'm gonna laugh so hard
@tante I tried the new one several times and for each usefull functionality it lacked M$ help returned: "This is not available in the new Outlook". Enshittification peaking here.

@tante and one of the Outlooks has a toggle switch „New Outlook“. Which is somewhat updated version of the old outlook..

Microsoft is a pile of garbage.

@leonid @tante Afaik it’s not ‘updated’, it’s standalone webmail. So that’s easier to maintain at the cost of fewer features and worse performance. Please use it so those poor microsoft people don’t have to write more software!
@tante
Outlook is the worst.
@tante managing office install integrity is such nonsense.

"I want newer version because more features."

We install new office and assign expensive license.

New Office breaks, because it assumes AD and Exchange must also be new version.

We try to roll back to old version.

New version can't be removed cleanly and blocks install of old version. Because only one Office install at a time.

Entire machine needs to be re-provisioned.

Profit?
