You're sitting on a train, your laptop open. You don't have to move for the next 10 hours. What do you do?
I'm gonna do a one person game jam, let's see how that goes
Nevermind my ambitions got cut short by being eepy

@Mae

1. plug in the charger

2. attempt to log in to their wifi

3. setup robust ssh-to-tmux sessions

4. start going through the backlog of 500 todos

@ShadowJonathan Your train wifi experience is way better than mine if you're thinking about touching ssh

@Mae i mean

i'll usually probably go to hotspot anyways, but it'll only be marginally better than train wifi, because that thing uses its 4G/5G anyways, but has to share that connection with 40+ other people

@ShadowJonathan the problem even with a hotspot is you're gonna constantly drop connection, because the train is moving

@Mae yeah thats why i have tmux-over-ssh, which auto reconnects

i can just kinda zone out when it happens

@ShadowJonathan @Mae
1. plug in the charger

2. attempt to log in to their wifi

3. attempt to connect to the internet

4. attempt to reconnect to the internet

5. oops, it's the destination station already

@Mae don't answer phone calls from work, don't look at politics...
@Mae code using only my brain power and locally a available documentation
@Mae @ShadowJonathan close laptop. Close eyes. Doze.
@Mae Having done that last year (overnight train to Lapland), unless you've brought downloaded content to watch, or your laptop is good enough for single-player games, you put the laptop away and try to sleep 😝
@Mae Feel a bit motion sick after looking at the screen for a while, close the laptop, and listen to an audio book.
@Mae
Persistently fidget and move about-
