@misty it's absolutely a downgrade, even 26.4. on an iphone 16 pro max the battery drains noticeably faster doing nothing at all. (this is accounting for the initial flurry of useless background activity it does after a major upgrade.)

@misty @cancel otoh within the first days all caches may be wiped so it’s commonly said to need time to “settle”. But yeah on an iPhone SE I too fell for their iOS 26 marketshare game.
