We've now sold out of tickets for EMF 2026. Sorry to everyone who didn't get tickets - demand this year exceeded our (already high) expectations.

We will be revisiting our ticket sales process for EMF 2028 to see if we can improve things, but it seems inevitable that demand will still outstrip supply.

We will be re-selling refunded tickets through our website in the coming months, but these will be relatively small amounts. We'll aim to announce at least one of these re-sales here, but we may also release some unannounced.

@emf I did wonder if there was a good way to enable newbies since we dont want to turn into a private club, perhaps reserve a block.. but tricky to identify?
@phlash
What I didn't realise at the time and I wish I had was that apparently, and correct me if I'm wrong, one volunteer session gets you the opportunity to get two tickets. That shouldn't be right.

@emf
@jamesb @phlash that has been the case in the past but it won't be this year.

@phlash @emf I’m a newbie and almost gave up because the stress of hovering in front of a computer trying to click at exactly the right millisecond wasn’t good for my mental health.

Luckily I did manage to get a ticket in the second round, and the friend who recruited me got one in the final round, so I don’t have to come alone.

But it does sound like there’s no easy answer.

An event that runs like a private club is unfortunate, but so is excluding old hands who made it what it is. 🤷
