I hope EU will make it illegal to advertise disk storage space in laptops/phones without accounting for OS. macOS takes up 20 Gbs? Well, it means it’s a 491 Gb disk, not 512 Gb

Might as well motivate OS manufacturers to slim down installation sizes

@nikitonsky I see it as "this machine comes with a 512GiB storage device", not "you have 512GiB at your disposal". If any slim down were to happen, I am sure the very first boot will take care of it 😅.

Their motivation is money so they'll get money and install more bloatware in their OS🤦🏻‍♂️
@nikitonsky I've heard of some windows laptops including cloud storage in their quoted capacity.
they could probably make the argument that you can install a smaller OS like Asahi Linux, or even boot from an external drive
