Here’s a little tidbit from my #AppleNewton collection.

(As requested by @haineux, @stack, and @Eggfreckles)

This is a Newton “Dummy” Product for use as part of retail display.

I’ve had this item for years and thought I’d photographed it, but the box had never been opened.

@splorp 3d scan maybe?
@liilliil You mean, create a scan of it?
@splorp yes, why not?
@liilliil I guess one could … but I have no gear to do that.
@liilliil Also, if I did have the means to 3D scan something, I think I’d scan an actually MessagePad device to maintain all of the physical details.

@splorp do you have one?

The dummy is interesting in its own. You can 3D-scan it with a regular smartphone
I've been doing 3D-scans of sculptures in museums, like this one for example. It’s quite easy

Polycam - LiDAR & 3D Scanner for iPhone & Android

Capture reality with Polycam's LiDAR scanner & photogrammetry. Make 3D scans and download 3D models. Available on iPhone, iPad, Android and Web.

@liilliil I have numerous Newton devices, multiple copies of every model, including third-party devices and prototypes.

Polycam sounds amazing.

@splorp lucky you ;)

I have eMate only

@liilliil I even have a clear case eMate.

@splorp Found this on my old blog
Could do something similar with Newton.
@liilliil That would be a cool project!
