Know what?

I really want the shine to come off of computer based tech. I want it to be more like plumbing.
I want folk to think of the fancy phones and computers the way that they think of their faucets or toilets.
Sure, there are going to be some folk that'll go for the equivalent of the Japanese heated bidets that sing to you and give you a massage, but by-and-large, that's not what most folk will want to use, and the folk that buy voice controlled faucets will always be a bit weird.

Why do I want this? Because then we can focus on actually providing folk with services that they need in ways that they can use and we can have less big media expos where slick sales folk try to sell us "smart pipes" for our home sewer system.
