Okay. So I've been wandering about this for a while: in reality, "Russia" and "the russians" are often considered as adversarial. When mentioned by name, it's almost always "Putin". However, in movies, the russians are often depicted as numerically skilled and intelligent. And, to my recollection, often not in a very antagonistic extreme negative way but just as "the opposing party".

So, am I missing knowledge on "the real evil russians", or is it only that the west needs to point somewhere?
