What is this archaic thing made out of paper?

I remember some SF novels such as Foundation where books as we know them were truly gone. I wonder how long they'll last before being fully replaced by technology.

Thanks, Lucien. I find your words interesting because it's truly difficult to assess our own photos and remain objective. It's also interesting when people like our own photos more than we do. I think Daido Moriyama had some words about this.
