French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday said it would be unrealistic to launch a military operation to force open the Strait of Hormuz after US President Donald Trump challenged allies to work towards reopening it. In unusually strong criticism, Macron accused Trump of constantly contradicting himself on the Iran war and of undermining faith in the NATO military alliance.

@newsguyusa It's good that Europe is learning to call bullshit on the US. The next US president will be much more hostile towards Europe than Trump.

WW3 was the Cold one and ended in 1991 (surprisingly peaceful).

We're now amidst #4, and it looks like it's more of a global war of fascism against democracy & rule of law than a war of countries against countries.

@musevg @TimFinnerty @mattijamsa @newsguyusa That isn't my concept of a real World War. Or I would argue that we're already in WW4 since 1991. The US Empire is defending their unipolar moment as the only hegemon of the whole world vs. The World.

The time before WW1 can be compared to this time. Back then there were also a few empires building up. Now you have a dying hegemon and several middle to top nations which question the unipolar moment and strive for multipolarity.

@musevg @TimFinnerty @mattijamsa @newsguyusa For me personally, WW3 is only really WW3 if China is All-in. In such a moment, all the other nations have to chose because China controls every economy on the world. Espacially from now on.

They have rare earth minerals, with Iran winning this war, oil won't ever be a problem again. All industries world wide are somewhat depended on the supply chaine out of China. And Oil/Gas.
