I avoid X-twitter. Someone sent me the text of a post there, and it is hysterical (and sadly, has an element of truth). I can't find it posted elsewhere, so I guess I need to share the link here:

FYI/FYA

Peter Girnus 🦅 (@gothburz) on X

I am the Vice President of Output Accountability at Microsoft. I report to nobody with that title because the title did not exist until I created it. The title is necessary. The outputs are not accountable to anyone. Someone should be. Our Terms of Service for Copilot include

X (formerly Twitter)
@spaf this link also works and may be slightly better: https://xcancel.com/gothburz/status/2039690059947901243
@canacar Excellent! Thank you.
@canacar @spaf Yep. XCancel links work with strict tracking protection enabled. Twitter deliberately breaks itself with the same. If you always replace the x in the domain with xcancel in Twitter links, that fixes the Twitter self-breakage problem.

@spaf I do hope this is satire. Were it accurate, it would arguably rise to the level of fraud under the Canadian Criminal Code.

(verify truthfulness && seek legal advice)

@davecb Yes, satire
@spaf Phew!
The story reminded me of the microsoft of yore (:-))
