@w People absolutely do expect the city to maintain car parking, thats the whole point of the post. But while a city does indeed need to provide transportation lanes, it does not need to provide parking. Separated bike lanes are important for safety if there are too many cars, but it mostly depends on road design; there are other ways to increase safety too
