@Walker I know they had a number of safety features that the Challenger didn't so that helped but yeah.
@cenobyte @Walker They probably remembered the safety rocket on top of the Apollo space craft. It was gone at Space Shuttle, but is back again on Orion.
@Walker I haven't watched crewed launches live in 40 years. Can't. Too traumatic.
@Walker Especially since one of the fairly few uncrewed launches I've watched live was Cygnus Orb-3 from Wallops in 2014, which exploded.

@Walker I was afraid for Artemis from launch until it disappeared from sight.

Glad it went okay, too. Except for that stupid toilet..

Every launch. Saw the Challenger explode from Ft Lauderdale. Images still seared in my memory.
