So AI is going to write our books, compose our music, create our art, and now also *play video games* for us? What are we **doing**?

Man, we already got tool-assisted speedruns, leave us alone.
how is this useful or fun AT ALL?!!!

Right? It defeats the whole purpose of playing a game for me.

If you take away friction or obstacles, how would it not be boring as hell?

This could be huge for accessibility, people aren’t considering that this could enable the disabled to play without needing to perform every action, or prevent the need for expensive custom control solutions.
It would enable someone else to play for the disabled, watching someone else play a game is already an option, this doesn’t add or improve on anything it’s just another desperate attempt to shove more AI garbage into our collective faces & stave off the inevitable AI bubble pop

We are automating not only the production of art, but the consumption of art as well.

What the actual fuck are we doing, honestly.

It’s like we’re intentionally edging ourselves out of being needed. It’s straight out of scifi.

“Add a difficulty selection? Be very clear about how challenging a game is? Fuck that, AI!!”
Slaving away for $7.50/hour making RAM for the AI.

What are we doing?
