Basically, the St George (England) and Union (UK) flags have both historically been used by the far-right as emblems. The situation being reported on here is a continuation of that.

Jon PENNYCOOK@bithive @UnconventionalEmma for me, disrespect for the flag for a start, and the St George's Cross in the photo is associated with the far right. Also, why don't these people buy a flag pole and put up a flag properly in their own garden if they are so nationalist?
