Alstom has delivered the first two of eight new #Metropolis #trains for the Santo Domingo Metro Line 2 extension, which will connect María Montez station to Los Alcarrizos. Manufactured in Barcelona, the three-car trains aim to increase capacity, improve passenger flow with wider doors and open gangways, and enhance travel with advanced information systems and LED lighting. Following shipment and final assembly in the Dominican Republic, the trains will undergo testing before entering service. The extension will benefit over one million residents and reduce congestion, strengthening urban mobility.
