@Remiberry @aelin I've heard about it from someone who was working for Qualcomm at 38C3 and *technically* nobody's forcing hardware vendors to fuse SoCs (same as deploying BootGuard/PSB on x86).

Sure, you *technically* break ROT since you can load your own firmware (bootloader etc), but also remoteproc fw (wifi, modem etc.) but the only real requirement for it is Google Play certification
