Europe is helping Ukraine, and has been helping Ukraine, almost since day one.

Contrary to what you seem to think, Europeans understand perfectly well what is at stake.

Some people in Europe may resent Ukraine (Orban, for instance) but it's because they are bought and paid by Moscow.

@ParadeGrotesque I know Europe has been helping Ukraine since day one, and that support is vital in keeping Ukraine alive. However, it's not helping Ukraine to defeat Russia and ensure that everyone lives in true security.

That's another question: is Europe (the US being a no show these days) helping Ukraine enough?

And, yes, you could argue Europe should do more, give more, and allow Ukraine to strike deeper into Russia.

Remember, though, that Europe is pretty dependent on the US because, with rare exceptions, Europeans have decided to buy American stuff instead of producing their own armaments.

Things are changing, but slowly. Europe really is caught between a rock and a hard place.

@ParadeGrotesque Europe can give Ukraine the weapons that are uselessly stored in warehouses. Europe can deny passage to all Russian ships, not just a few. Europe can more quickly develop homes and cars powered by wind and sun energy—this will force the US to forget its foolish adventures with oil and gas and even depend on Europe, because the US is far behind in green energy. I hope you are right and Europe will indeed wake up and change faster than Russia and Trump will destroy it.
