Think about this. Having started a war with no planning, the US has discovered that it can't defend its own bases in the Middle East. So it is shifting troops to hotels and other residences where they are shielded by civilians. That's a war crime.

@benh @gleick The world keeps trying to pretend that things are normal and act like they can just treat him as a normal, sane president.

Meanwhile he's quickly becoming an official dictator and consolidating power to do anything he wants. He attacks on whims and signs whatever Project 2025 puts on his desk.

Yeah, no, not a normal, sane president.

The time it takes the world to actually realize they can't keep treating this as a problem that will just go away on its own somehow is very costly
