So many people have their own newsletter these days, and I don’t know how I feel about it.

On one hand I LOVE that people publish on their own terms and that their audience is directly connected to them.

On the other, many of those newsletters have unnecessary high cadences, and they feel more marketingy than personal.

I’m still a personal blog & RSS nerd, and I know we’re not a dying breed.

@bnjbvr neat! This mostly addresses the consumption preference (in a RSS reader and not in an email client)

My bigger issue is the dynamic behind newsletters: trying to push content regularly even when you have nothing to say, just to remind people that you exist.

I love being subscribed to blogs that only post when they have something interesting to say, even if it’s every few months.

@thibaultamartin If there was a newsletter provider that embraced POSSE then that would be quite cool, right @buttondown?
