Heading to Ireland for the next week - obligations rather than an actual break. My kids need to occasionally visit my late wife's family*. I'm looking forward to catching up with some old friends while there.

*I still don't have a good vocabulary to talk about them. Technically, they're not my family any more, but they are my kids'. #widowhood

@feijoa I’d argue if you’re bound by the kids they’re still family, but that depends on the relationships.

I mean you’ve pretty much got to put up with them even if you’re not enthusiastic about it, which is pretty much the definition :-)
