BioNTech to close vaccine manufacturing plant in Singapore by 2027

SINGAPORE: BioNTech will shutter its vaccine manufacturing plant in Singapore by the end of February next year, the German biotechnology firm said on Thursday (Apr 2), following a “comprehensive review”. The company has suffered losses in recent years and reported last month a net loss of €1.14 billion (US$1.31 billion) in 2025, compared with a €665 million loss in 2024.
