What a choice. I either stick on iOS 18, which has a vulnerable browser and I'm not allowed to not use it, or I update to iOS 26 which will apparently make my phone unusable because the new liquid UI requires too much GPU power for my 13 mini (plus age verification?).

Depressed about this choice. Even if I take a "third way" of leaving iOS again, which I'm gonna with the next phone, I was hoping to put it off until Christmas because phones are expensive so I have to do something now at least.

@sil damnit I updated too and they’ve just released 18.7.7 for all older phones as well: https://support.apple.com/en-us/126793

@sil @dracos As I understand it, if your device is eligible for 26 you can’t access upgrades after 18.7.2. At least that’s what support told me.

@pete @sil They changed that yesterday with 18.7.7. See link I posted, lists all devices at the top.
