Every town should have at least one large abandoned industrial site with no security so that the kids have a place to play and learn
@telmii_poo my neighbourhood was near an abandoned dry dock from the moribund scottish shipbuilding industry, that place was intensely cool to hang out in, incredibly dangerous and definitely altered my brain chemistry in the best ways
@glencoe so many of these places are either gone or like HEAVILY policed now. We r def hashtag blessed to have been able to casually experience this vibe

@telmii_poo yeah it's all gone now but i remember pulling slates off the roofs and us kids would stand at the edge of the dock and frisbee those things into the river for hours.

walking on victorian era cast iron walkways that were hanging on with nothing but rust over a 3 storey drop into the sub-basement machine rooms that were fully flooded. it's the place that gave me the sense that maybe i -should- fear heights
