James CI will not dunk on #Artemis.
Yes, we did this half a century ago with old tech. But then we didn’t, for a very long time. The longest journey starts with a single step, etc.

#Artemis carries a huge weight of expectations & history – and even though this is essentially a test flight, our (society) & #NASA’s tolerance for crew loss or injury is substantially lower now for a whole range of very good reasons
we absolutely should #BoldlyGo, but we should also #SafelyGo as far as practical
