I’m very disappointed in US cable news networks’ limited coverage of the Artemis II return to the Moon mission. BBC News has provided non-stop coverage with Astronaut Tim Peake assisting, while MS NOW, FOX News and CNN each only provided a few minutes of mission coverage per hour.

This evening BBC News has been providing almost non-stop coverage of the Artemis II mission to the #Moon with Astronaut Cady Coleman and others helping their audience understand everything that’s happening.

Meanwhile US cable news has dedicated very little time to mention this first human spaceflight beyond Earth orbit since 1972. This is so sad.

Kudos to CNN for providing non-stop coverage of the Artemis mission around the far side of the moon, even during commercial breaks! BBC News covered Artemis for all except commercial breaks and about 20 minutes during loss of signal. FOX News dedicated only 9 minutes and MS NOW dedicated only 8 minutes of air time to cover this historic event. Can anybody estimate how much time was dedicated on Canadian news networks?

@calvin That IS sad. I'm in the US and have the BBC live feed open in a browser. Most of the feed is from Mission Controls, and the Orion itself!! with additional commentary "off cam" so I find it very informative/helpful and also not distracting or jarring from the consistent, steady feeds. Updates by the minute, without any fluff, or politics, or filler, or unnecessary animations, external commentator shots etc.
