@somecanuckchick Canada Post hasn't provided postal delivery to most Canadians for a decade.

We need to make these services work, but as long as we conflate public good with business needs, we're doomed.

@swordgeek In urban areas where I am, those communal boxes will not work at all, unless there's cameras and emergency lights, etc. set up, and more.

@somecanuckchick I'm in central Calgary, and we've had these for eight years or so.

They have done more than anything else in recent history to make mail irrelevant. When it's -20 and snowing, I'm not going to walk a block to ouck up mostly garbage.
