Saw similar but unboostable:
With the information about Kristi Noem’s husband coming out, it is still bad to be homophobic and transphobic to people that suck.

@Melezioh Like I don't even have an issue with the Kink itself...It's just the fact that these people uphold a political alignment which by design are against freedom to explore and practice kink. Conservatism, Authoritarianism, and Fascism all desire a blank white world...Drained of all it's color, for people to conform and be a cog. The stagnation of the human mind and spirit.
That is honestly the most shocking part the Husband situation; at least he still supported Kristi Noem despite her being on some maximum bullshit.
@Melezioh Someone called it shame-lashing which sounds like a combination of weaponizing your own self-hatred and using it against others. As you can't mentally reconcile the fact you love a thing that makes you feel such a degree of guilt/shame.
Once again, I feel the deep irony and pointed lesson about the state of America is lain bare by this controversy. We need a post puritan society, like now! People should be able to talk about sex, gender nonconformity, and kink freely. They should be able to explore themselves and figure out self truths of that nature without being persecuted. To openly live as they are.
@WanderingInDigitalWorlds @Melezioh
The only people who need to be ashamed are those who take advantage of those who do not or cannot give consent.
As long as legal consent has been met, and you're with your people and everyone agrees, I don't care what you are into.
It is too bad the religious are not as offended by violence as they are by sex.
@AnnieBuddy This is true, however, until we can get to the stage where everyone is on the same page about the matter...Nothing will change. That is why it is so important to make these conversations open, honest, and even age appropriate (in regards to the idea of consent).
As consent encompasses more than just the kink world, it also affects everyday life and interpersonal relationships (platonic, familial, romantic).
I do find the irony of religious practitioners being unnerved by countless ways people engage with sex and gratification. As pleasure seeking is something that is hardwired in our brains, their doctrines mostly deny that aspect of people (but their Schrödinger's Deity made humans, so that means it should not be considered sinful or strange).
Over violence which is truly horrifying if you see it, hear about it, or are a victim of it. People are truly odd beings, at the best of times in my opinion.
